Started in late 2018, the early days of TrailTrialerMTB were a failure - an important failure that ultimately led to success and the current day TrailTrialerMTB you see. My first video was chaotic! With funky music, blurry quality, poor microphone and a repeat of the phrase 'just because', the video was my first attempt at creating a youtube video. Following this video, I went through a prolonged phase of creating poorly executed videos. Eventually, I noticed a trend - the videos were getting no views, negative comments and lacked and meaning or story. This forced change - from late 2020 onwards, I began investing time and effort into my videos, constructing a plan and improving my setup to ensure maximum video quality. I invested time in learning the skills of editing, maximising video performance by using the highest export standards. In 2021, I reached the 1000 subscriber mark and began earning from my content, giving me even more motivation to work harder!

As of today, I currently use the best equipment possible, aim to ride the best trails and host a narrative while riding. The video quality is an important factor, but the storyline is just as important as this is what provides the videos with narrative and context. Using a Gopro Hero 10 black, max lens mod, bluetooth microphones and a drone, I use my narrative skills to provide a story throughout the video to engage the viewers. If a video isn't interesting enough to me, I don't post it it's that simple. Only the best quality videos make it out onto my Youtube video.
